University of Louisville Medical and Dental Symposium

U of L Medical + Dental Symposium

The Minority Pre-Medical & Pre-Dental Symposium is an annual conference hosted by Louisville’s chapters of Student National Medical Association and Student National Dental Association. It allows us to interact with pre-health students in colleges and universities in the region. This conference stems from the idea that we want to give participants honest and personal opinions on what steps they need to take in order to best prepare for a health professional school.

New Topics

Gain awareness of health disparities and healthcare issues facing minority populations. By attending the symposium, students will be able to learn about the medical and dental school admissions process and the life of a medical or dental student.

Keynote Speakers

You all have questions and our speakers have answers. We have handpicked a few of our niche professionals to give participants honest and personal views of medicine and dentistry world.

Medical + Dental

Experience the state-of-the-art Human Patient Simulators of the Paris Simulation Center while the “patient” reacts realistically to your actions and your assessment of the patient during the exercise. Or learn techniques used by dentists to identify markers of oral hygiene by learning first hand on a fellow attendee.

PROGRAM

The symposium was created, organized and put on entirely by medical and dental students at the University of Louisville for one particular reason, to give participants honest and personal views of medicine and dentistry.
